Deyan is a Senior Associate in DGKV`s Banking & Finance Practice. He joined DGKV as a senior associate in 2022. Having previously worked as in-house counsel at one of Bulgaria’s leading banks, he has worked on a number of landmark projects and has significant transactional expertise in the finance sector. Deyan’s practice is mainly focused on project, real estate, corporate, and acquisition financings, and syndicated lending. He has also advised clients on large-scale quasi-sovereign public bond issues and venture-capital matters.
Recent representative projects include:
- Advising a US investment fund on Bulgarian-law aspects of an EU securitization transaction.
- Advising a syndicate of four Bulgarian lenders and UniCredit Bulbank AD in its capacity as agent and arranger on a EUR 50 million revolving credit facility extended to a Bulgarian producer of copper materials.
- Advising IFC on the restructuring of a long-term project financing to a leading steel manufacturer in Bulgaria.
